Description
The MOPA-NJ are baptized Christians who unite themselves with the
Lord according to the spirituality of the Missionaries of the Poor,
a religious institute of brothers and priests founded by Fr. Richard
Ho Lung in the ghettos of Kingston, Jamaica.
It is a spiritual community of dedicated lay men and women who commit themselves to the service of the least of our brothers and sisters according to the norms and traditions of the Religious Institute of the Missionaries of the Poor.
Purpose
The primary purpose of MOPA-NJ is to fulfill Christ's desire to be present
in the world, to have Him use every associate within His mystical body
in order to accomplish His life and work among the poor.

Membership
The MOPA-NJ welcomes any baptized Christian who seeks to serve Christ
through the poor according to the spirituality of the Missionaries of
the Poor. Any interested candidate must strive to fulfill the following
obligations after completing the application process.
